Arrival and departure
Check-in / check-outGetting to the cabin
We kindly ask you to drive slowly in the area, out of consideration for neighbours and children playing.
Key and self check-in
You will find the key box with the cabin key on the wall beside the main door. The code is shared with you through Airbnb before arrival.
Please return the key to the box and lock the door when you leave.
Check-out
Check-out is at 12:00. Let us know if you would like a late check-out and we will do our best to accommodate it.
Inside the cabin

If the internet is unstable, the router may need a restart. It is located behind the TV.
Heating
The cabin is heated by a heat pump and a wood stove in the living room. The heat pump remote is in the living room, and fire briquettes and wood are by the stove. Matches are in the cabinet above the kitchen stove.
Heating is usually not needed in summer. The heat pump also works as air conditioning if you want to cool down.
Kitchen
Feel free to use everything you need for cooking. Spices, coffee and tea are in the drawer beneath the coffee maker. Wine and beer glasses are behind the right door of the old wooden cabinet in the living room.
The stove can switch itself off if something rests on top of it while not in use. If that happens, flip switch 6 in the fuse cabinet off and on. The fuse cabinet is in the walk-in wardrobe in the hallway.
Bathroom
Extra towels are beneath the bathroom sink, and you are welcome to use the shampoo and shower gel.
Please close the drawers in the bathroom cabinet properly. If left open they can slide out and block the door.
Supplies
Refills of soap, toilet paper and similar are in the walk-in wardrobe in the hallway.
Electric car charging
If you have an electric car, feel free to use the charger. It is open and does not require an app to start.
Outside
Shed · grills · pergola · toysThe outdoor shed
The key to the shed hangs in a small white cabinet on the wall in the main hall. Inside the shed you will find more firewood, a mini gas grill, a gas pizza oven, toys, an inflatable SUP board, a canoe, tools and more. Feel free to use whatever you like.
There is additional firewood in the shed by the trampoline.
Grills and pizza oven
A charcoal barbecue is on the terrace and you are welcome to use it. The gas grill and the gas pizza oven are in the outdoor shed.
The robot mower
A robot mower keeps the lawn in shape. It sometimes gets stuck, and if you would like it to get back to work, simply carry it back to the charger. When the light turns green it is charging.
To resume its daily mowing schedule: press the large STOP button, enter the pin 4376 (the local zip code), then press the play button.
If the grass gets too high in the areas the robot does not reach, there is a battery-powered Bosch mower in the shed. The grass grows like crazy during summer, so feel free to mow if you like, but only if you want to.
The pergola
Just outside the living room is a pergola with glass walls and sliding doors, perfect for enjoying the view in the evenings regardless of the weather. A small remote on the wall operates the lighting, the heater and the roof.
Please turn off the heater and lights when not in use.
Good to know
House rules · waste · groceries- Water and drains The toilet is connected to a local waste water system. Please flush nothing other than toilet paper, and do not use chlorine or similar products. The same applies to the kitchen drain, so keep rinsing of frying oil to a minimum.
- Garbage and recycling The garbage station is right where you turn off from the main road (E39), next to the old Helleland station, a 12 to 13 minute drive from the cabin. - Groceries The nearest grocery store is Coop Prix Helleland, about a 15 minute drive from the cabin.
- Dogs If you bring a dog, it must be kept on a leash both around the cabin and in the surrounding outdoor areas.
- Quiet hours Please respect that it should be quiet after 23:00.
- Driving in the area Drive slowly on the cabin roads. There are neighbours and children playing nearby.
